from Start to Finish
Welcome to our Financial Aid
Workshop!
We've boiled it all down to the basics so that you can browse
below and find everything you need to know about paying for your
education!
With tuition on the rise, paying for higher education is increasingly difficult for students and their families. Although financing higher education is a challenge, it is not impossible. If you have good credit, you can usually afford to go to your school of choice. And we are going to help you find the money you need
First, here are some important tips to consider before financing your higher education:
-
Talk with the financial aid office at your school. These are the best people to prepare you for your journey through the financial aid process.
-
Talk to your family. Have an in-depth discussion with your parents and/or family members about how they might play a role in financing your education. Will they lend you money? Will they co-sign for loans? Will they borrow money for you?
-
Understand the financial aid process. The more you know about the financial aid system, the better prepared you will be to pay for school.
-
Don't limit your options. Don't automatically rule out high-cost schools. The financial aid system works proportionally, making up the difference of what you can afford to pay and what your education costs.
-
Create a financial plan to pay for college. Do some research about which programs you can use to pay your way.
The financial aid process is all about timelines and deadlines. If you plan correctly and get your forms and applications completed, securing money to pay for your education is a snap. Here's the most important tip of all: Start early! You literally cannot afford to leave it for the last minute.
